The Ducks steal one in triple overtime at "The Joe."Man, I was worried there because the Wings dominated the first two overtimes. The Ducks were out shot 2 to 1 and most of puck controlling was done by the Wings.
But, after an NBC on-camera chat with Darren Pang and Todd Marchant. Happy Todd said with a smile on his face, "It's the playoffs. It's great!"
1:15 into the third overtime, Wisniewski banked one off the boards to #22, who bobbed and weaved his way through the neutral zone, past defenders and the blue line, then let a left wing rockets go, and it flew past Chris Osgood's left ear. It was Marchant's 2nd playoff overtime goal, and probably not his last.
It's back to Anaheim for games 3 and 4, Tuesday and Thursday at Honda Center, for what amounts to a Best of 5 starting with 2 home ice starts for The Ducks. It's going to be interesting to see how the Red Wings respond after what could be a mentally devastating loss at home in 3 Overtimes.
Give the advantage in game 3 to the Ducks.
